I am the Director of Music at Emmanuel Lutheran Church where I conduct the Chancel Choir, Children's Choir and Handbells. I am also the Director of the Music Department at Laurel Hall School. Teaching guitar since I was 13, I enjoy playing in all styles. I have written musical arrangements for artists ranging from Elton John to UCLA's opera program, covering a variety of types of instrumentation. My passion for teaching music comes from a belief that the world would be a better place if everyone was able to read and appreciate music. In 2004, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a focus on guitar and film scoring. Though I play guitar everyday, I have a lifelong curiosity in musical instruments that drives me to learn something about playing all of them. If you have questions about how to play an unusual instrument, ask me!
