Dear Members of the Emmanuel and Laurel Hall Community,
This is the seventh in a continuing series of articles regarding the progress of our Call Committee.
The Call Committee continues to interview prospective pastor candidates which are presented to us by the Southwest California Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Two candidates have visited our campus and met with members of our Senior Staff, but the committee after much prayerful consideration is not confident that either of these candidates are the right fit for Emmanuel and our schools.
Going forward, we have three members who have left the committee or are leaving soon. Best wishes to Dr. Lorraine Trollinger, Mark Felicetti, and Jeanie Hahle. This necessitates the need for the congregation to elect three people, one regular and two alternate committee members, to replace them. The election will happen this Sunday, June 2. We will bring the new committee members up to speed as quickly as possible and resume our interviews.
